Let your imagination run riot and step into the world of high society and scandal on this Bridgerton Filming Locations Tour in Bath, England.
If you’re as obsessed with Bridgerton as my daughter is (she’s even been to a Bridgerton Ball!), then a visit to Bath is an absolute must.

This gorgeous Georgian city doubled as Regency-era London in the hit show. Visitors to Bath can walk in the footsteps of the Bridgerton family – and imagine themselves as characters in the show.
I recently did just that with my daughter. We joined a guided walking tour around Bath to see some of the iconic filming locations up close.

Introduction
Luckily for us, Bath is only an hour away by train from where we live – so as a Mother’s Day treat – we had a cream tea and glass of fizz before taking a Bridgerton Locations walking tour with music.
👉 Book your tour on Get Your Guide here!

It is such a fun way to experience the city – and if you’re game, to embrace the drama and period glamour. We were a little self-conscious to go full Bridgerton – but we did wear dresses!
Whether you’re planning a girl’s day out like us, or a romantic weekend escape, this Bridgerton tour is the perfect mix of history, scandal, and laughter.
The tour includes headphones to listen to the guide and Bridgerton themed music.
Being fairly local to Bath and usually only there to do a spot of clothes shopping – we loved seeing Bath in a different way. We found the tour immersive and fun.
Our guide was a hoot and extremely informative. She knew every detail about the filming spots of Bridgerton and tons of Bath history thrown in for good measure. And the Bridgerton music made it come alive
If a guided tour isn’t your thing, I’ve also outlined the route so you can easily follow it yourself. Grab your walking shoes (and maybe a feathered fan) and get ready to promenade through Bridgerton’s world.

Why Bath Was Chosen as a Bridgerton Filming Location
Before we dive into the walking route, it’s worth knowing why Bath is such a perfect stand-in for Regency London.
Before the Bath we all know and love was built – it consisted mainly of Medieval and Roman architecture. The Georgians wanted to build a brand new Bath – a resort for the rich – and so in no time at all – a whole new city was built over the top.
This is what makes Bath so unique and why it is the only UK city to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in its entirety. There’s a whole load of interesting facts to learn about Bath’s historic layers, some of which you will learn on the tour.
The city’s ‘Bath stone’ Georgian architecture is stunningly preserved, with elegant crescents, wide streets, and ornate facades that make it the perfect backdrop for period dramas.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t much fun for the Bridgerton film crew for the first season. Bath is regularly used as a filming location because of its unique Regency architecture.
Of course in the first season, nobody had heard of Bridgerton and the production was just another unwelcome nuisance for the locals. Filming was very difficult for the crew and in the second season they tried to avoid coming to Bath at all.
Luckily for us, Bridgerton was a huge success and now we get to do fun walking tours like this one!
Bridgerton Walking Tour Highlights
Here are some of the key locations we visited, either on the guided tour or ones you can easily explore on your own:
Abbey Deli, Abbey Green – Modiste Dress Shop

🎬 Seen in: Modiste interior and exterior.
The tour starts at Madame Delacroix’s dress shop, where all the ladies purchase their best attire for ‘the season’.

The shop is actually a gorgeous cafe in Abbey Green, called Abbey Deli and is instantly recognisable. Abbey Green is a charming cobbled square with a beautiful tree in the centre, and was also used as a stand-in for Covent Garden scenes.

We had a chat with the lovely cafe staff who were happy to tell us about their Bridgerton experience. They said that the crew used the interior as well as the exterior for filming and so of course we had to get a few photos inside too.

The cafe have embraced their Bridgerton fame and sell a few Bridgerton themed items like some of the character’s specialty tea blends.
🌟 Tip: Enjoy a Bridgerton worthy cream tea here and take a few pics inside and out.
(The doorway next to the shop is where Anthony visits his lover – Siena.)
Bath Street – The Modiste & Market Scenes

🎬 Seen in: Various scenes including market strolls and Modiste exteriors
Bath Street is featured in the first episode of Bridgerton, where the Duke makes his appearance on horse back.
Opposite the the Pump House, this picturesque pedestrian street with its symmetrical columns has popped up in multiple episodes. It was used to create those lively market scenes and is supposedly where the Modiste is tucked away.
Trim Street

🎬 This is where Daphne and Simon drink tea at Gunter’s – the infamous spoon licking location!
Beauford Square

🎬 Beauford Square you might recognise as it was used several times for street scenes. The film crew covered the real floor to disguise the modern road paint and added blossom trees to the lawn. The lucky residents were actually paid for their inconvenience under the strict instructions not to peep out of their front windows during filming!
Royal Crescent and Number 1 – The Featherington House

🎬 Seen in: Exterior of the Featherington family home
The iconic curved row of townhouses is one of Bath’s most photographed spots, and is the perfect stand-in for prestigious Mayfair London – home of the Bridgertons and Featherintons. It’s just as grand in real life, and our guide gave us some brilliant behind-the-scenes gossip – and wonderful historic anecdotes.

Number 1 The Crescent transforms seamlessly into the lavish Featherington household.
🌟 Tip: If you’d like to see how these houses were decorated during the Regency period, take a look inside number 1 the Crescent, which is now a museum.
🏩 Stay in a quirky Georgian Hotel with an interesting story – read our review of Grosvenor Villa here.
The Holburne Museum – Lady Danbury’s Mansion

🎬 Seen in: Exterior of Lady Danbury’s home
This striking Grade I listed building is one of Bath’s most elegant. It plays the role of Lady Danbury’s grand residence. We learned about how the crew dressed the museum’s façade to look even more regal for the show.
🌟 Behind the museum are beautiful gardens and a cafe.
The Assembly Rooms

🎬 Seen in grand ball scenes including Lady Danbury’s Ball, where Daphne and Simon first meet.
The elegant Assembly rooms have been used for grand occasions since the 18th century – and are still frequently used for balls and functions today. They make the perfect backdrop for the grandiose Bridgerton ball scenes.
🌟Tip: The Assembly Rooms are open to the public for guided tours.
Edward Street
🎬 Seen in: Street scenes in Series 3
This street in Bath Wick was used for horse and carriage scenes in Season 3. Bath Wick was built as an add on to Bath. To make it just as a desirable area as the rest of the Bath – the clever architect designed the Pulteney Bridge to look as it was an ordinary street and not a bridge – which is why there are shops on either side.

Sydney Gardens – Promenade Scenes

🎬 Seen in: Strolling scenes, particularly with Daphne and the Duke.
No Bridgerton scene is complete without a leafy promenade filled with stolen glances. These gardens were one of Jane Austen’s favourite places, and they’re perfect for your own genteel stroll. We walked here at the end of the tour – it was so peaceful.
Bonus – Prior Park and Gardens
🎬 Seen in: Promenading Scenes
This wasn’t in our guided tour but is a beautiful National Trust Garden in Bath that was used for promenading scenes.
Guided Tour vs. Self-Guided: Which Should You Choose?
We really enjoyed having a guide, especially for the fun facts, filming secrets, and historical tidbits. Our guide was excellent and really brought it to life and being part of a group made it lots of fun.
But if you prefer to explore at your own pace, the city is very walkable. Just save this guide and use the Google Maps locations to find the spots.
