About Verona

Verona is a dreamy Italian city steeped in history and romance. From its elegant cobbled streets and ancient Roman ruins, to backdrops of scenes from Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’, the city is a delightful place to visit.

Piazza delle Erbe

Nestled right in the heart of Verona’s historic centre, ‘Truly Verona – Delle Erbe Suites’ places you steps away from Piazza delle Erbe, one of Verona’s most vibrant and picturesque squares.

Just a minute’s walk from cafes and restaurants – you can be sipping coffee, overlooking the square – or strolling past Juliet’s statue and the Roman Arena within 10 minutes.

Prime Location: Steps Away from Iconic Landmarks

We found Delle Erbe Suites location was ideal for our short stay. It was so convenient to be so close to all the main sites, cafes and restaurants. You can easily just pop back to change, or have a rest in between sightseeing. (Or in our case, every time we realised we had forgotten something). There is also a lift, which saved our tired legs.

It is literally around the corner from Piazza delle Erbe, 5 minutes from Juliette’s House and 10 minutes from the Arena.

Cobbled Street outside property

The main entrance of this fabulous Verona stay is located on a quiet cobbled street, next to the ‘Well of Love’. There is a trendy cocktail bar perfect for a nightcap and a great wine shop nearby.

Elegant Accommodations: A Perfect Blend of History and Modern Comforts

If you’re like me and enjoy staying in accommodation that reflects the character of the city you are visiting, Delle Erbe Suites fits this perfectly. We loved the old world style of the room and furnishings.

Features such as wooden beamed ceilings, antique furniture, fireplaces and wooden floors are combined with modern amenities like air conditioning, a mini fridge, satellite TV and a whirlpool bath.

Guest Experience: Comfort Meets Authenticity

From the moment you book, the host’s communication is fantastic. We were sent pictures of each suite and asked which one we would prefer.

You have the choice of three suites and if you are a family or group, there is an entrance hall which connects the three suites.

Before we arrived we were given all the details for a self check-in because we were arriving late. From the reviews, guests who arrive earlier are greeted by the host at the accommodation.

We also received recommendations for cafes and restaurants, which judging from the ones we tried out, were all really good.

We found the bed extremely comfortable, I literally had the best night sleep ever on our first night.

Fridge and Coffee / Tea Facilities

The room was cleaned daily and there was bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries in the bathroom.

You will find all the items you need: hairdryer, iron and even slippers.

As you enter the entrance hall of the suites, you feel like you have stepped into a truly authentic historic apartment with antique book shelves and paintings.

Cons of Delle Erbe Suites

Our only complaint was that the satelite tv didn’t have any English channels so if you like to watch tv while you are away, I suggest bringing your firestick from home, or log into your Prime / Netflix account but remember to log out before you leave.

Also, on the second night – we happened to be in Verona on the night of the wine festival. If you are attending the wine festival, the suites are the perfect location but the downside for us was that the revellers were on the square below and it went on till until 2.30am.

I think this is a one off and not a normal occurrence. We didn’t have any problems with noise any other time and the music was so loud, it could probably have been heard across the city.

Why Choose Truly Verona – Delle Erbe Suites

Delle Erbe Suites really are in the perfect location for your Verona stay. We loved the historic charm and modern comforts – that bed was super comfy! Before you decide, read the exceptional guest reviews on Booking.com.

Price wise, for such a prime location and superb facilities, we thought it was very reasonable and half the price of other apartments and hotels that we were looking at during our research.

It is the perfect accommodation for couples, groups, and travellers who want an authentic Verona experience.

Booking Information and Tips

  • The suites are popular, so I would book sooner than later to ensure your choice.
  • Be aware that cars are restricted in the historic centre. We walked from the train station to the apartment but it was quite far, so you might want to take the bus or order a private transfer or taxi. The host will give you all the details that you require.
  • There is a mini fridge, coffee and tea making facilities and a table and chairs. A mini market is located close by and there is a huge selection of cafes and restaurants all around.
  • Hen and stag parties are not permitted.
  • Although there is a lift, it is situated after a small flight of stairs so it is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Conclusion: Making the Most of Your Verona Visit

I strongly recommend Delle Erbe Suites for a memorable stay in Verona. Booking.com guests rating it 9.4 out of 10.
