Sailing Excursion Details
Meet Angelique

The fabulous boat we sailed on is called Angelique. Angelique is an elegant, motorised sailing boat. She is large and luxurious. Guests have comfortable day beds, drinks on hand and chill out music throughout the excursion. They can sit back and relax enjoying the sea breeze. Bathroom facilities are located in bedroom cabins, which means you have somewhere to change and they are kept impeccably clean.
The crew are warm and welcoming and take fantastic care of their valued passengers.

Food and Beverages
As soon as you set sail from Piraeus harbour it’s time to relax, delve into delicious pastries, freshly made coffee and orange juice. Throughout the trip, the staff make sure guests are comfortable and take drink orders. Unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks are available.

The buffet lunch is amazing. All freshly cooked, mouth-watering dishes, lots of choice and plenty to go around. We thought it was one of the best meals we had during our stay in Athens.
Explore the Saronic Greek Islands
The Saronic Greek Islands are a perfect sail boat day trip from Athens as they are so close. These islands are popular with Athenians and European visitors. Each island has it’s distinct character. On this trip you visit Agistri and Aegina and have a swim stop at Mono.
Agistri

Agistri is a small green island surrounded by beautiful beaches. As you approach Agistri, you see a white church with a bright blue dome and I was immediately reminded of the Instagram images you see of Santorini.

Agioi Anargyroi church overlooks Skala beach, which has warm, clear water and many pretty tavernas. We had enough time to enjoy a drink, take a look inside the church, sunbathe on the beach and paddle. I would love to return and spend a few days on this laid back island.

Aegina

The second island stop is Aegina. Aegina is well known for growing the ‘World’s Best’ pistachios, which are of the highest quality. The main port of Aegina is in Aegina Town. Aegina Town has a bustling marina with shops, tavernas and restaurants.

When you arrive on the island, one of the crew offers to guide you to a delicatessen where you can taste the amazing pistachio-based products. There are all kinds of pistachio delicacies to try. We wished we had room in our cases to take some home. After we had finished trying products, he showed us a gelato shop and of course I had to try the pistachio flavour there too.

The other main attraction in Aegina Town is the Temple of Apollo. The foundations of the temple date back to around 500BC. There were originally 11 columns but now there is only 1 single column remaining. It is situated just a little way back from the beach and you can see other islands on the horizon. I felt it had a kind of mystical quality.
Moni

Moni is an uninhabited islet, (except for a few goats and deer). Moni doesn’t have any facilities. It has virgin beaches surrounded by pine forests. You stop here before lunch to have a swim and snorkel in the clear turquoise waters.
